Police in Delaware County are investigating the cause of a deadly Sunday afternoon crash that involved two vehicles. According to eyewitnesses, a grey SUV side swiped a van and crashed into a light pole before settling into a nearby tree.
An investigation is underway into what sparked a fire in a Delaware County commercial garage Sunday afternoon. Just after 2:15 p.m. a heavy fire broke out in commercial garage on the 1000 block of Girard Avenue in Ridley Township, Delaware County, Pa.
Philadelphia police and fire officials are investigating the cause of a deck collapse that left several people injured including a 3-month-old baby. Just before 5:30 p.m. fire officials were called to a home on the 7900 block of Michener Avenue in the Cedarbrook section of the city for reports of a collapse. When officials arrived they discovered that the rear deck from the home appeared to have buckled under the weight of its occupants and fallen about 20 feet to the ground.
Chaos outside a North Philadelphia night club killed one woman instantly and sent at least eight others to the hospital with various injuries. It happened shortly after 4 o'clock Saturday morning outside Club Motivation on the 2300 block of North 8th Street.

According to Red Bull's website "Flugtag, which means "flying day" in German, pushes the envelope of human-powered flight, but competitors need more than airtime to reach the podium."
Two brothers who admitted placing tire spikes on the pavement of southern New Jersey highways have been sentenced to probation. Michael and Justin Hinrichsen also must each perform 40 hours of community service and pay $500 in restitution under the sentences imposed Friday. They also must testify, if necessary, against two other men charged in the case.
